The District and Sessions Judge has adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking registration of a case against the writer, producer, and actors of the Indian film “Dhruv” until December 23. The petition alleges that the film’s trailer shows unauthorized images of PPP Chairperson Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, party flag, and rallies, portraying the party as supporting terrorists. The petitioner, PPP worker Amir Khoso, claims the trailer is spreading hatred and provocation against the party, its leadership, and workers, violating Pakistan Penal Code sections 499, 500, 502, 504, 505, 153-A, and 109. The police have failed to register the case despite a written complaint.
