Axar Patel Becomes First Indian Spinner to Claim 100 T20I Wickets
Indian all-rounder Axar Patel has become the first Indian spinner to take 100 wickets in men’s T20 Internationals, achieving another major milestone in his international career.
The achievement places Axar alongside two Indian cricket legends who were the first spinners from India to reach 100 wickets in other formats. Vinoo Mankad was the first Indian spinner to claim 100 wickets in men’s Test cricket, while Ravi Shastri became the first Indian spinner to reach the 100-wicket mark in men’s One-Day Internationals.

With this feat, Axar Patel has etched his name into India’s cricket history by becoming the country’s first spinner to reach the 100-wicket milestone in T20Is, further highlighting his importance to the national team in the shortest format.
