Lahore General Hospital (LGH), under the directions of Principal PGMI & AMC Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal, has introduced a new administrative zoning system to further improve patient care, hospital cleanliness and service delivery in line with the Punjab government’s Health Vision.
Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal said the hospital has been divided into administrative zones with senior doctors assigned as focal persons for daily monitoring of wards, patient care, hygiene and administrative affairs. The focal persons will conduct regular inspections with nursing and sanitary supervisors and submit daily reports to the hospital administration.
He added that the new monitoring mechanism aims to ensure a clean, patient-friendly environment, improve accountability and maintain high standards of medical services. He emphasized that negligence in duties or failure to submit monitoring reports will not be tolerated and strict administrative action will be taken against those responsible.
