11 Arrested for Alleged Donkey Race Gambling, Cash Recovered
According to Details Police in Larkana have arrested 11 individuals for allegedly organizing and participating in gambling on donkey races. The operation was carried out on Zakariya Mahesar Road within the limits of Arija Police Station following a tip off.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry police conducted a timely raid and detained suspects who were allegedly arranging donkey races and betting money on the outcome.
The arrested suspects include Ghulam Mustafa, Mehboob, Gul Hassan, Rashid, Allah Warayo and seven others. Police also recovered cash allegedly linked to the gambling activity and collected other evidence from the scene.
An FIR has been registered against the suspects under the relevant provisions of the Gambling Act and further legal proceedings are underway.
SSP Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry said that police will continue indiscriminate action against gambling, narcotics, and other social crimes across Larkana. He added that no one will be allowed to engage in illegal activities or disturb law and order.
He also urged citizens to promptly report criminal activities to the police so that timely action can be taken, reaffirming that the district wide crackdown on criminal elements will continue to ensure public safety, maintain peace, and uphold the rule of law.
