**Karachi –** The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has achieved a historic milestone, posting its highest-ever annual revenue collection of Rs. 370.064 billion during the fiscal year 2025-26. This marks a significant 20.17% growth compared to the Rs. 307.930 billion collected in the previous fiscal year.

According to the official press release, the backbone of this record-breaking performance was the Sindh Sales Tax (SST), which surged to Rs. 344.602 billion—a robust 21.2% increase over last year’s figure of Rs. 284.377 billion. Contributions from the Sindh Workers’ Welfare Fund (SWWF) and the Sindh Companies Profits Workers’ Participation Fund (SWPF) also saw a 10% uptick, climbing from Rs. 22.253 billion to Rs. 24.435 billion. Additionally, the newly assigned Agricultural Income Tax (AIT) crossed the Rs. 1 billion mark for the first time.

The SRB concluded the fiscal year with exceptional momentum, recording its highest-ever monthly collection in June 2026 at Rs. 45.08 billion. This figure represents a 28.3% increase compared to the Rs. 35.15 billion collected in May 2026, underscoring the board’s operational efficiency.

Despite facing headwinds such as sluggish economic growth and the adverse impact of regional conflicts during the latter half of the year, the SRB managed to sustain its upward trajectory. Officials attributed this stellar performance to the relentless dedication of the SRB workforce, the continued support of the Government of Sindh, and the trust and cooperation of the province’s taxpayers.

Looking ahead, the SRB team has expressed its determination to accelerate revenue growth in the upcoming FY 2026-27. Key priorities for the coming year include broadening the tax base, enhancing voluntary compliance, and accelerating the digital transformation of tax administration to meet future challenges head-on.
