Major Administrative Action at Shahdara Teaching Hospital: MS Suspended, Dr. Farah Inam Appointed as New Medical Superintendent۔

Punjab Secretary for Health, Azmat Mahmood, paid a surprise visit to Government Shahdara Teaching Hospital and ordered strict administrative action over negligence and poor performance. Medical Superintendent Dr. Adnan Javed was suspended, while Dr. Farah Inam, Additional Principal Woman Medical Officer at Lady Willingdon Hospital, Lahore, was appointed as the new Medical Superintendent of Government Shahdara Teaching Hospital.
During the visit, disciplinary action was also taken against four other senior doctors, including the suspension of one officer and the transfer of three others to different government hospitals. In addition, three senior doctors from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, were transferred to Shahdara Teaching Hospital to strengthen healthcare services and improve patient care.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Health Azmat Mahmood said that negligence in the treatment of patients at public hospitals would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He directed hospital administrations to ensure the provision of timely, efficient, and quality healthcare services to all patients.
