Another Movie With a 4-Minute Trailer — Is this trend in Bollywood a good one?
The third installment of Bollywood’s popular comedy franchise “Welcome,” titled Welcome to the Jungle, is set for a June release, and its trailer has already dropped online.
The trailer, which runs for 4 minutes and 10 seconds, appears to reveal a large portion of the film’s storyline, sparking discussion among viewers and film enthusiasts.
The trend of extended trailers in Bollywood is often credited to director Rohit Shetty and actor Akshay Kumar, who popularized longer promotional cuts with Sooryavanshi. Since then, several big-budget films have followed a similar approach.
However, critics argue that shorter trailers are more effective, as they build curiosity and excitement without revealing too much of the plot. With concerns already rising about a lack of original content in the industry, some believe that overly long trailers may further reduce audience interest in cinemas.
Despite the debate, the trailer for Welcome to the Jungle is packed with high-energy chaos, comedy, and action, reflecting the franchise’s signature style.
The film is scheduled to release on June 26.
