RCB Clinch Back-to-Back IPL Titles in Historic Triumph
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the IPL title for the second consecutive year, becoming only the third team in tournament history to secure back-to-back championships after Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.
In the final, legendary batter Virat Kohli played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 75 runs and sealed the victory in style by smashing the winning six.
Venkatesh Iyer also contributed an important 32 runs to help RCB chase the target.
Earlier, Gujarat Titans (GT) posted 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted overs, with Washington Sundar scoring a valuable half-century. For RCB, Rasikh Salam starred with the ball, taking three wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood claimed two wickets each.
