Can RCB Achieve What Only MI and CSK Have Done in IPL?
The IPL 2026 final is set to be played today in Ahmedabad, featuring a high-voltage clash between defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and a strong Gujarat Titans (GT) side.
RCB enter the final with huge expectations as they aim to defend their title and make history. If they succeed, they will become only the third team in IPL history to win back-to-back championships.
So far, only two teams have achieved this milestone — Chennai Super Kings (CSK) under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, winning the 2010 and 2011 titles, and Mumbai Indians (MI) under Rohit Sharma, who lifted trophies in 2019 and 2020.
Now, RCB have a golden opportunity to join this elite club, but standing in their way is a confident and in-form Gujarat Titans side, setting the stage for a thrilling final showdown in Ahmedabad.
