NCHD Larkana Holds Labour Day Rally to Honour Workers

On the occasion of International Labour Day, May 1st 2026 the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Larkana organized a rally to pay tribute to workers and their sacrifices. The rally started from Lahori Mohalla and ended at Jinnah Bagh Chowk.

Assistant directors, focal persons of Universal Primary Education (UPE), Literacy and Volunteerism Community Development sectors, and field officers participated in the event.

Speaking to the media, officers Ashfaq Ahmed Sheikh, Mumtaz Abro, and Sheeraz Mehmood Pathan said that May 1 reminds the world of the struggles and sacrifices of workers, especially the historic labour movement of Chicago in 1886. They said workers in factories, fields, mines, offices, and other workplaces are the true foundation of national progress and human civilization.
The officers reaffirmed their commitment to continue serving the country, the nation, and human development with dedication. Several other officers, including Shahid Kalhoro, Maqsood Sheikh, and Atta Hussain Leghari were also present.
