The India national cricket team became the final side to qualify for the semi-finals after defeating the West Indies by five wickets in a high-scoring clash in Kolkata. India chased down a challenging 196-run target in the final over.

Star performer Sanju Samson smashed an unbeaten 97, hitting 12 fours and 4 sixes to guide India to victory. For the West Indies, Jason Holder and Shamar Joseph picked up two wickets each.

Earlier, the West Indies posted 195 runs, powered by 40 from Roston Chase, 37 from Holder, and 34 from Rovman Powell.

In the semi-finals, India will face the England cricket team, while the other semi-final will see the New Zealand cricket team take on the South Africa cricket team.
