*47th Meeting of Provincial Cabinet*

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, while addressing the 47th meeting of the Provincial Cabinet, said that concealing facts related to the health of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and denying him access to his doctors and family constitutes a grave violation of the Constitution and fundamental human rights. He stated that if the situation has reached a point where Imran Khan had to undergo an eye operation, it clearly indicates that he is being subjected to inhumane treatment in jail. The Chief Minister emphasized that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has been formed on the mandate of Imran Khan and strongly condemns all injustices being committed against him. The Provincial Cabinet demands that Imran Khan be allowed immediate meetings with his family and doctors so that the prevailing ambiguity regarding his health can be removed. He added that it is the responsibility of the state and the federal government to clear all doubts concerning Imran Khan’s health. Referring to the public protests held across the country on 8 February, the Chief Minister termed them successful and said that police violence against elected PTI representatives in Karachi was an attack on democracy. He noted that the images of torture inflicted on former MNAs and MPAs were extremely disturbing. He strongly condemned the abduction and brutal torture of Ali Zaman from outside Adiala Jail, stating that individuals carrying out violence in plain clothes fall within the category of terrorism. The provincial government has demanded that those responsible for torturing Ali Zaman and his companion be brought immediately before the court of law. The Chief Minister informed the Cabinet that the online open court initiative has been launched and one session has already been completed. He directed all secretaries, ministers, directors general, and the district administration to ensure the holding of weekly open courts. He said that priority should be given to open courts at the district level, while at the provincial level at least one online open court per week would be mandatory. He added that the online open court is an effective tool for reducing the gap between the public and the government, enabling citizens to raise their issues from their homes despite limitations of resources or access. While speaking on development matters, the Chief Minister said that directives had been issued to complete the ADP 2026–27 by 15 February and expressed hope that the work had been completed. He stated that briefings on the ADP 2026–27 would begin within the current month. Expressing serious concern over the slow pace of work on the ADP 2025–26, he termed it unacceptable and directed that all development projects be placed on a fast-track basis within the same month. He further instructed that all procedural requirements be completed immediately so that public relief may begin at the earliest and the benefits of development projects reach the people without further delay.
