Scientists Achieve World’s First Communication Between Two People in Lucid Dreams
Researchers at California-based REMspace have announced a major breakthrough in the study of dreams, claiming that two individuals managed to exchange a word while both were asleep and experiencing lucid dreams on September 24.
REMspace explained that the participants, who were skilled lucid dreamers, were linked to technology that tracked their brain activity live during REM sleep. Once the first participant became lucid, the word “Zhilak” was delivered through earphones, which the dreamer repeated while still asleep.
A few minutes later, the second participant received the same word during her lucid dream, repeated it, and later verified the interaction after waking up.
Scientists believe this may be the first recorded instance of two-way communication occurring within dreams, although the results still require confirmation from independent researchers.
🔬 If validated, the experiment could transform current understanding of consciousness, sleep, and human communication.
