CID Season 2 has officially concluded its run, with the final episode airing on Sony TV and streaming platforms such as Netflix and Sony LIV around December 14, 2025. This marked the end of the second phase of India’s iconic crime drama, which made a comeback in late 2024 after years off air.

Veteran actors Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Dayanand Shetty (Daya), and Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet) returned to reprise their legendary roles, bringing nostalgia and excitement for long-time fans of the show. Soon after the finale, discussions regarding a possible CID Season 3 also began, with the makers reportedly considering shifting the series entirely to an OTT platform.

However, despite the popularity of the show, mixed reactions emerged from viewers regarding the last episode. Many fans felt that the finale was quite unusual and the ending remained confusing. According to audience feedback, the final episode should have either followed a regular case-based format or delivered a special, well-crafted storyline to properly conclude the season.
