✨ Alumni Homecoming 2025 — A Night of Memories, Tribute & Togetherness ✨

The Career Development Center of Sukkur IBA University hosted the Alumni Homecoming 2025 on 6th December at the main campus—an evening filled with nostalgia, pride, and heartfelt connections.
Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, Vice Chancellor Sukkur IBA University, graced the event as Chief Guest. He was warmly welcomed by Director CDC, Mr. Qazi Abdul Wahid, and Manager Alumni Affairs, Mr. Bilal Ahmed Shaikh.
In his welcome address, Mr. Qazi Abdul Wahid—himself a proud member of the first-ever batch—welcomed alumni back to their parent university. He paid a moving tribute to the visionary leadership of Late Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui and Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, honored with a heartfelt standing ovation. He also shared cherished memories and recited poetry that beautifully set the tone for the evening.

The first batch presented the Vice Chancellor with traditional Ajrak and Sindhi Topi, celebrating heritage and gratitude.
In his closing address, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh expressed his deep affection for the alumni community, emphasizing that they are “the pride and heart of the university.” He reaffirmed his commitment to carrying forward the legacy of Late Prof. Siddiqui and encouraged alumni to contribute through knowledge, mentorship, and engagement. He highlighted the university’s vision of becoming a leading institution—appearing in Times Higher Education Rankings and achieving the prestigious AACSB accreditation—while remaining rooted in its mission of socio-economic upliftment across Pakistan.
Following this, alumni from various batches shared their thoughts and memories, reflecting on their journey from Sukkur IBA classrooms to impactful professional paths.
Adding a refreshing twist to the evening, Mr. Faraz Sarwar captivated the audience with a humorous and lively performance. As Pakistan’s first ventriloquist, he brought laughter and entertainment to the stage, making his act one of the evening’s highlights.
Souvenirs and Ajrak were then presented to distinguished alumni in celebration of Sindhi Culture Day.
A lavish dinner, followed by soulful musical performances by Sufi Folk artists from Bhit Shah, Indus Celebration by Darosh Ahmed, and singers Sarwar Siraj, Shamroz, and Arsalan Shaikh, filled the night with energy and joy.
The event concluded around a warm bonfire, where alumni sang, laughed, and re-lived memories in a heartfelt jamming session.
Earlier in the day, classroom sessions by legendary faculty—Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Bhutto and Dr. Jamshed Ansari—along with a campus tour and tea meet-up, set the perfect stage for a truly memorable reunion.
A night to remember. A legacy to celebrate. A community that continues to grow stronger—together.
