In the decisive match of the series, played in Visakhapatnam, India finally won the toss after 20 matches and opted to field first, inviting South Africa to bat.

Batting first, South Africa were bowled out for 270 runs in 47.5 overs.

For the Proteas, Quinton de Kock stood out with a superb 106. Captain Temba Bavuma scored 48, Dewald Brevis 29, Matthew Breetzke 24, Marco Jansen 17, Corbin Bosch 9, Ottniel Baartman 3, Aiden Markram 1, Lungi Ngidi 1, and Ryan Rickelton departed without scoring.

Keshav Maharaj remained unbeaten with 20 runs.

From Indiaโ€™s bowling attack, Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna picked up 4 wickets each, while Arshdeep Singh and Ravindra Jadeja claimed one wicket apiece.

In reply, India comfortably chased down the 271-run target in the 40th over with just one wicket down.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 116, while Virat Kohli contributed an unbeaten 65. Rohit Sharma scored 75 before getting out.

For South Africa, Keshav Maharaj took the only wicket.
