Babar Azam Named Pakistan Test Captain for West Indies and England Tours
Babar Azam has been appointed captain of Pakistan’s Test team for the upcoming tours of the West Indies and England.
The 16-member squad includes captain Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Imam-ul-Haq, Azan Awais, Abdullah Fazal, Salman Ali Agha, Ghazi Ghouri, and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.
The squad also features Sajid Khan, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Abbas, Ubaid Shah, Awais Zafar, and Khurram Shehzad.
Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel has been ruled out of the squad due to fitness concerns.
Pakistan will begin the tour with a Test series against the West Indies. The team is scheduled to play a warm-up match in Tarouba on July 18.
The first Test between Pakistan and the West Indies will be played in Tarouba from July 25 to 29.
