Bangladesh national cricket team dominated the opening day of the Dhaka Test against Pakistan national cricket team, finishing at 301 for 4 at stumps.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first, but the Bangladesh batters responded with a solid performance throughout the day.

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto starred with a brilliant century, scoring 101 runs, while Mominul Haque played an impressive knock of 91.

At the close of play, Mushfiqur Rahim was unbeaten on 48, while Litton Das remained not out on 8.

For Pakistan, all bowlers used in the innings except Salman Ali Agha picked up one wicket each.
