SRSO Reviews Progress of SPHF and WASH Projects

SUKKUR: The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) held its 26th Progress Review and Strategic Planning meeting for the Sindh Government funded Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) projects at SRSO complex here on Thursday. The meeting, chaired by SRSO CEO Muhammad Dittal Kalhoro, focused on discussing progress, addressing challenges, and devising strategies to accelerate the projects.
The SPHF project has made significant progress, with over 1.25 million houses under construction and 500,000 homes already completed, providing shelter to communities devastated by recent floods. The project aims to construct 2.1 million multi hazard resistant homes, benefiting over 15 million people. The WASH project has provided facilities to 3,700 villages and 314,000 households, ensuring 1.5 million people gain access to clean water and proper sanitation.
CEO Kalhoro emphasized the need to accelerate progress, ensure stakeholder participation, address emerging challenges, and follow the set strategic plan strictly. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Chief Financial Officer, (CFO), Chief of Internal Audit, Team Leader SFEHRP, Regional General Managers (RGMs), District Managers (DMs) and other key team members.
