OICD Dow University Conducts Fire Safety Drill for Doctors and Staff

Fire Safety Awareness Session
The Ojha Institute of Chest Diseases (OICD), Dow University of Health Sciences in collaboration with Director Prof. Niaz Hussain Soomro and Lt. Col. (R) Iftikhar Hussain, Director of Safety and Security, conducted a fire safety drill for doctors and staff working in wards and OPDs on 26th January 2026.
The highly interactive session included:
• A detailed overview of fire response, fire classifications, and hands-on practice with fire extinguishers.
• Comprehensive guidance on essential safety measures, including selecting and using the appropriate fire extinguisher for each type of fire.
This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 11, promoting health, safety, awareness, and resilient institutions.
