University of Karachi Hosts Successful Event on International Autism Care Through Modern Technology

The event titled “International Autism Care Through Modern Technology”, organized by the Transformation International Society (TIS) in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), University of Karachi, was held successfully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Jinnah Auditorium, KIBGE, University of Karachi.
The session proved highly informative, shedding light on groundbreaking ways modern technology is transforming autism care and support. Experts explored innovative tools, digital interventions, and tech-driven approaches that empower individuals with autism, promote early intervention, and enhance inclusive practices.
A highlight of the day was when the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, graciously distributed shields to the dedicated team from the Transformation International Society (TIS) and to Director ORIC, Dr. Syeda Hoor-Ul-Ain. He expressed deep appreciation for the outstanding efforts of ORIC, the University of Karachi, and TIS in advancing mental health awareness and inclusive education.
In exciting news shared by Dr. Syeda Hoor-Ul-Ain, Director ORIC:
– TIS has officially signed a landmark MoU with the Department of Special Education and the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Sports Sciences, University of Karachi.
– TIS is offering paid internships to students from these departments.
– Free specialized training opportunities in autism care and related fields are also available for eligible students.
– TIS assured continued and expanded collaboration with the University of Karachi in the future.
The Vice Chancellor reiterated the University’s full commitment and cooperation to TIS, pledging ongoing support for such impactful initiatives.
