Sarmad Khoosat’s Film Lali to Make World Premiere at Berlinale 2026

A proud achievement for Pakistani cinema, Sarmad Khoosat’s upcoming film Lali is set to make its world premiere at the 76th Berlinale Film Festival in Berlin.

Lali tells a darkly humorous story of love, superstition, and destiny, following Zeba and Sajawal as they navigate a world where the living coexist with lingering spirits.

Directed by Sarmad Khoosat, the cast includes Mamya Shajaffar, Channan Hanif, Rasti Farooq, Farazeh Syed, and Mehr Bano.

The premiere was confirmed with the release of the official poster on Instagram, marking Lali’s debut at the prestigious Berlin festival, scheduled from February 12 to 22, 2026.
