Pakistan Squad for Sri Lanka Series: Who Could Be the Surprise Entry for T20 World Cup?

The Pakistan-Sri Lanka series will begin on January 7, with matches scheduled for January 7, 9, and 11. Although this series is being seen as preparation for the T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s squad raises some eyebrows.

First of all, all-rounder Shadab Khan has returned to the team, which has sparked criticism over the basis of his selection. While Shadab has performed well in both bowling and batting in the BBL, the question remains whether he can adjust to Sri Lanka’s conditions and perform effectively.

Shaheen Afridi’s injury has caused concern, but the latest updates suggest he will be fit and able to bowl in the World Cup.

Regarding the team’s wicketkeepers, it is surprising to see Sahibzada Farhan listed as a wicketkeeper. The other two names, Usman Khan and Khawaja Nafay, are also not regular keepers. Khawaja Nafay’s selection has puzzled many, as it is unclear which performance justified his inclusion.

So far, it’s hard to predict what Pakistan’s T20 World Cup team will look like. More updates will be available on JeeveyPakistan.com.
