Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Haroon Hamid Reviews Emergency Services at Gujranwala Teaching Hospital Trauma Centre۔

The Principal of Gujranwala Medical College and its affiliated teaching hospitals, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Haroon Hamid, paid a detailed visit to the Trauma Centre at Gujranwala Teaching Hospital to review emergency healthcare services and assess the overall quality of patient care.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Rana Imtiaz, along with other administrative officials, accompanied the Principal during the inspection.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Haroon Hamid inspected the Trauma Bays, Minor Operation Theatre (Minor OT), Emergency Pharmacy, and patient receiving areas. He reviewed the availability of essential and life-saving medicines, examined the functionality of emergency medical equipment, assessed staff attendance, and inspected cleanliness and infection prevention and control measures.

The Principal also interacted with patients and their attendants to obtain firsthand feedback regarding the healthcare services being provided at the Trauma Centre.

Appreciating the dedication and commitment of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, particularly during the Ashura days, Prof. Dr. Haroon Hamid emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of patient care, ensuring emergency preparedness, and continuously improving the quality of healthcare services.

At the conclusion of the visit, he directed the concerned officials to further strengthen the triage system and ensure proper maintenance and efficient functioning of the Minor Operation Theatre (Minor OT).
