Latest Overseas Players Update for HBL PSL 11: Which Superstars Are Coming and Which Teams They’ll Join?
According to information received by JEEVEYPAKISTAN.COM, both the IPL and PSL will be played simultaneously this year, however, the Pakistan Super League is expected to conclude earlier. Keeping this situation in mind, the player auction and availability mechanism has been planned in such a way that players who do not get selected for the IPL will be available for the PSL, as there will be no international cricket scheduled during that period.
The ECB has granted permission, increasing the chances of England star players such as Joe Root and Tom Banton featuring in the league. However, English players are unlikely to be available for the entire duration of the PSL.
If we look at the potential retained players for each team:
Peshawar Zalmi may retain Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, Tom Banton, Alzarri Joseph, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
Lahore Qalandars have Sikandar Raza, Daryl Mitchell, Sam Billings, and David Wiese on their retention list.
Karachi Kings are considering David Warner and James Vince, along with Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, Irfan Khan Niazi, Aamir Jamal, and Abbas Afridi.
Islamabad United may retain Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Azam Khan, Salman Irshad, Salman Ali Agha, Haider Ali, Imad Wasim, and Mohammad Nawaz.
