SABS University Achieves 100% Target in Google Career Certificates, Secures 500 New Slots in Phase-III
JAMSHORO (July 02, 2026): Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro has achieved another milestone by successfully accomplishing the 100 percent target under Phase-I and Phase-II of the Google Career Certificates Program, earning an additional allocation of 500 student slots in Phase-III.
Under the new phase, students from SABS University will receive internationally recognized Google Career Certificates in high-demand fields including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI Essentials, Cybersecurity, IT Automation, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, and Python/Java Development.
Earlier, the university had been allocated 150 student slots in Phase-I and 300 slots in Phase-II. With the successful completion of both phases, a total of 450 students from SABS University earned Google Career Certificates in various specialized disciplines, strengthening their professional capabilities and improving their employment prospects in the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The Google Career Certificates Program is an initiative of the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) in collaboration Science and Information Technology Department and Tech Valley Pakistan, aimed at equipping university students with globally recognized digital skills and career-oriented training to meet the demands of the modern job market.
To mark the launch of Phase-III, an online Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held at the Chief Minister Secretariat, where Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, appreciated Sindh Higher Education Commission, Science and Information Technology Department Tech Valley and the Vice-Chancellors of public and private universities across Sindh for their collective efforts and commitment in making the initiative a success.
Vice-Chancellor SABS University Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, congratulated the university’s IT team, faculty members, and students on once again achieving the assigned target and securing 500 additional slots for the next phase of the program. She commended their dedication and hard work, emphasizing that such initiatives enable students to acquire cutting-edge digital skills, enhance their career prospects, and compete effectively in the global digital marketplace.
