Tourists Advised to Avoid Visiting Babusar Top Amid Safety Concerns
The district administration in Naran, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has issued a travel advisory for Babusar Top, asking tourists, travelers, and transport operators to avoid unnecessary journeys due to continuous snowfall that has made road conditions dangerous and disrupted traffic on the mountainous route.
According to the advisory released via official media channels, ongoing snowfall in the region is likely to create severe difficulties for travelers in the coming days.
Authorities have urged visitors to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts before planning any trip toward Babusar Top, noting that conditions in the area can worsen rapidly without warning.
Officials further stated that heavy snow accumulation has significantly impacted traffic flow along the Babusar Top route and nearby areas, with certain sections currently operating under one-way traffic conditions.
The administration also warned that travel after 6 pm is especially risky because of intensified snowfall and severely reduced visibility.
The advisory highlighted several hazards for drivers, including icy road surfaces, brake failure risks, glacial movement, falling rocks, and possible landslides, all of which pose serious threats to life and property.
Authorities have appealed to the public, tourists, and transport operators to avoid non-essential travel until further notice and to strictly comply with instructions issued by local administration and law enforcement agencies.
