Japan unveils mobile prayer rooms for Muslim tourists

OM Kiki Co., a company in Japan has developed a portable prayer room called “Prayer Space” to improve accessibility for Muslim travelers, with an easy-to-install wooden structure that includes a waterproof floor and a rotating qibla marker pointing toward Makkah. The initiative was inspired by a staff member’s experience travelling with a Muslim friend from Malaysia and aims to provide convenient prayer facilities at hotels, tourist attractions, and workplaces.
