Bahria University Rector Congratulates HEC Chairman on New Tenure
ISLAMABAD – Vice Admiral Abid Hameed HI(M), Honorable Rector of Bahria University, met with Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), to congratulate him on assuming office and to extend best wishes for a productive tenure focused on strengthening Pakistan’s higher education sector.
During the meeting, the Rector briefed the HEC Chairman on Bahria University’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality, improve international university rankings, and modernize programs to meet the demands of the contemporary era, particularly in emerging technologies. He highlighted the University’s role in advancing higher education in Pakistan and outlined initiatives designed to align the institution with global academic standards.
Vice Admiral Hameed also assured HEC of full support in its initiatives, especially in the maritime sector, emphasizing its potential contribution to Pakistan’s maritime economy.
Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar appreciated the University’s proactive efforts and assured continued support for Bahria University’s future development and academic growth.
