Professor Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice-Chancellor of Aror University of Art, Design, Architecture and Heritage, Sukkur, highlighted the university’s successful partnership with HEC in implementing MAKTAB, the flagship digital transformation initiative rolled out across 25 public sector universities under the World Bank–funded Higher Education Development in Pakistan (HEDP) project.
With 100% implementation of the SAP-based ERP, Student Lifecycle Management system, and Blackboard Learning Management System, Aror University has emerged as a fully paperless and digitally integrated institution. The university is also among the pioneers in introducing e-assessment fully linked with MAKTAB, marking a significant shift from manual processes to technology-driven governance.
Dr. Khand credited strong institutional leadership, continuous monitoring, and close collaboration with HEC, the TMC implementation team, and the World Bank for achieving full system functionality, positioning Aror University as a leading model for digital transformation in higher education across Pakistan.
