Bahria University signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Orion Maritime (Pvt.) Ltd at the Bahria University Health Sciences Campus in Karachi.
This strategic partnership is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 14 (Life Below Water).
The event highlighted the growing importance of marine bioresources in medical research, drug discovery, and therapeutic innovation, emphasizing the vast potential of interdisciplinary collaboration between marine sciences and biotechnology.
Under this MoU, researchers from Biotechnology, Medical Lab Technology (MLT), and the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory (MDRL) will work closely with Orion Maritime on biological characterization, discovery of novel bioactive compounds, and dissemination of research through scientific publications.
