Vice Chancellor, Sukkur IBA University, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, represented the University as a distinguished panelist at the 18th Aalimi Urdu Conference, held from 25th to 28th December 2025 at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.

The conference brought together renowned academicians, educationists, and intellectuals from across Pakistan to deliberate on literature, education, and contemporary thought.
Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh delivered an insightful address in the session titled “Humara Taleemi Mayar”, which emerged as one of the most prominent sessions of the conference. The session witnessed a house-full audience and active engagement, reflecting the strong interest of participants in discussions on educational standards and future directions.












Alongside the Vice Chancellor, a student delegation from Sukkur IBA University also attended the four-day conference. The students participated in various sessions related to literature, arts, digital media, event management, and event photography and videography, gaining meaningful academic and experiential learning. Following the sessions, the Vice Chancellor met with the students, appreciated their participation, and encouraged them to carry forward these learnings for their future academic and professional growth. President Arts Council of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmed Shah, also lauded the students’ active involvement and expressed his appreciation to the Vice Chancellor for leading and mentoring the delegation.
Subsequent to the conference, the delegation visited NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, for a guided academic tour. The visit provided an enriching learning experience as students explored advanced facilities including the Seismic Lab, Fire and Safety Lab, Virtual Reality Center, AI and Computing Lab, Space Observatory and Space Telescope, and the Smart Car Lab, further broadening their academic exposure.
