SU student wins gold medal in Sumo Wrestling at 35th National Games

JAMSHORO: A student of Sindh University’s Centre for Physical Education, Health & Sports Science Muddasir Ali Baladi who won the Gold Medal in the Middleweight Division of Sumo Wrestling at the 35th National Games 2025, called on the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri.
He along with the Director of his centre met the VC at his office after winning in the national event, which was held on December 7β8, 2025 in Karachi.
Muddasir Baladi clinched the top honor in the major category after displaying exceptional skill, discipline and determination. He competed against some of the strongest provincial teams from across the country. 
His remarkable performance brought pride and recognition to the University of Sindh.
He was accompanied by the Director of the Centre for Physical Education, Health & Sports Science Professor Dr. Soniha Aslam during the meeting with the Vice-Chancellor.
On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri warmly congratulated Muddasir Ali Baladi and Professor Dr. Soniha Aslam on this outstanding and matchless achievement.
He lauded the dedication of both the student and the director and expressed hope that the University of Sindh sports teams would continue to secure further victories at national and international levels in the future.
