H.E. Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, and H.E. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi, Consul General of the UAE in Karachi, along with senior, called on Mrs. Faryal Talpur, President, PPP Women Wing, today at Zardari House, Karachi.
The meeting was attended by Sindh Cabinet members and parliamentarians, including Mr. Zia ul Hassan Lanjar, Minister for Home, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Jam Khan Shoro, Minister for Planning & Development and Irrigation, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister for Culture, Mr. Ali Rashid, Minister for Information Technology, Mr. Sohail Anwar Siyal, MPA, and Mr. Qasim Siraj Soomro, MPA.
Discussions focused on strengthening the long-standing, brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, with emphasis on cooperation in economic development, culture, technology, and people-to-people exchanges.
During the meeting, H.E. the Ambassador and H.E. the Consul General reaffirmed that the UAE considers Pakistan a trusted and strategic brotherly partner and remains committed to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, development, and emerging sectors. They also acknowledged that the strong people-to-people bonds particularly the valuable contributions of the Pakistani community in the UAE form a solid foundation for further strengthening bilateral relations and mutual prosperity.
Both sides expressed a shared desire to further facilitate and simplify visa procedures for Pakistani citizens, reflecting the spirit of brotherhood and friendship, and to encourage greater travel, business, employment, and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
Mrs. Faryal Talpur highlighted the enduring legacy of former Prime ministers Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in promoting diplomacy, peace, and international cooperation, and reiterated the continued commitment of President Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to further deepening Pakistanโ€™s relations with brotherly countries, especially the UAE.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of shared resolve to enhance Pakistanโ€“UAE friendship and brotherhood through sustained dialogue, mutual respect, and practical cooperation across multiple sectors.
