The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued an alert warning of an increase in the duration and intensity of fog during the ongoing week in Punjab, upper Sindh, and the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the forecast, weather conditions across most parts of the country are expected to remain cold and dry on Wednesday. However, moderate to dense fog and smog are likely to persist in the plains of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which may reduce visibility and disrupt routine activities.

On Thursday, similar weather conditions are expected to continue, with cold and dry weather prevailing in most regions. Moderate to dense fog and smog are again anticipated in the same plain areas during morning and night hours.

For the federal capital, Islamabad and surrounding areas are expected to experience cold and dry weather on Wednesday. On Thursday, the weather is likely to remain cold, while the sky may become partly cloudy.

Citizens, especially motorists, are advised to take precautionary measures and stay updated with the latest weather advisories.
