As part of the monitoring and evaluation activities under the People’s Poverty Reduction Program (#PPRP), in Sukkur & Ghotki districts field visit was conducted by Dr. Shazia Mahar Deputy Director Monitoring Sukkur Region, Planning & Development Department, Sindh Government. Meanwhile #SRSO-Regional General Manager Khairpur, District Manager and other team members facilitated the visit.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress, transparency, and on-ground impact of various poverty alleviation interventions under #PPRP-II – GoS is being implemented by #SRSO. 1st day, she visited interventions and held dialogue with organized and program beneficiary women at village Yousif Abu Photo, UC Sangrar, district Sukkyr and 2nd at VO Ekta (Village Azeem Menik), VO Zara (Village Dhamaji), and VO Gulan Laghari, district Ghotki.
Detailed presentation of the key components of the program was delivered and highlighted achievements, community participation, and successful outcomes of the PPRP interventions. Field-level progress and updates from each component were shared with the visiting delegation.
During visit of Sukkur, she also participated in a joint certificate distribution and toolkit handover ceremony at Kalhori Ghumra, marking the successful completion of two VTP centers VTP Kalhori Ghumra Tailoring Trade 21 participants and VTP Bhagari Beautician Trade 19 Participants.
This visit reaffirmed the strong coordination between the Government of Sindh, #SRSO, and community institutions working collectively for poverty reduction and women’s economic empowerment.
