Path Correction Seminar under the Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) sub-component of the World Bankโfunded SWAT Project was held on 21 November 2025 at Khorwah Minor, District Badin.
Over the past two cropping seasons, the project established 10 Climate Business Field Schools (CBFS) and 10 demonstration plots, training 250 farmers in hands-on Climate Smart Agriculture. Each CBFS paired a CSA demonstration plot with a conventional plot, allowing farmers to observe and compare results across 10 learning sessions per crop season. Upon completion of the Rabi 2024โ25 and Kharif 2025 cycles, CSA inputs were distributed to all 250 graduating farmers.

โข Climate-resilient varieties: IV-3 (Wheat) and Nia Shandar (Rice)
โข Zero-tillage wheat sowing using residual moisture
โข Mechanical seeding & transplanting in rice with Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD)
โข Balanced fertilizer application
โข Integrated Nutrient Management (organic + chemical)
โข Integrated Pest Management focusing on beneficial insects
