Severe Hot and Dry Weather Likely to Continue Across Most Parts of the Country

Severe hot and dry weather is expected to persist in most parts of the country today. According to reports, the highest temperature recorded yesterday was 49°C in Sibi.

According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures reached 48°C in Noorpur Thal and Dadu, while Okara, Bhakkar, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, and Turbat recorded 47°C.

Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, and Sargodha recorded 45°C, Lahore and Jhelum 44°C, Peshawar and Multan 43°C, Islamabad 42°C, Muzaffarabad 40°C, Quetta 39°C, while Karachi and Gilgit recorded 37°C.

In Skardu, the maximum temperature recorded was 29°C.
