California’s Sequoia National Park: Home to Earth’s Giant 2,000-Year-Old Trees

This is Sequoia National Park in California, home to some of the largest trees on Earth. Some giant sequoias here are over 2,000 years old, can grow more than 300 feet tall, taller than a 25-storey building and live for over 3,000 years. The park is also home to the famous General Sherman Tree and Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States at 14,505 feet.
