The Technical Working Committee on Foundational Learning, chaired by Dr. Fouzia Khan, Chief Executive Advisor, CW, School Education and Literacy Department (SELD), convened on 20 May 2026 to review progress and strategic priorities for foundational learning in Sindh.
The meeting featured key discussions on scaling Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) within mainstream education systems, updates on Grade 1 literacy instruction initiatives, progress on foundational numeracy interventions, and ongoing foundational learning activities under SELECT.
The session brought together key education stakeholders, including PITE, DCAR, the World Bank, PAMS, ITA, the Sindh Textbook Board, and other partners, reflecting a strong collective commitment to improving foundational learning outcomes for children across Sindh through coordinated, system-wide action.
