At a local restaurant in Islamabad, Masood Kallis hosted a special dinner in honor of Mr. Afzal Butt, President of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), who is widely respected for his continuous struggle for journalists’ rights and freedom of expression and is often referred to as the “Leader of Journalism.”
Masood Kallis senior Immigration Law Consultant with over 20 years’ experience in UK & EU immigration law; who is originally from the UK and is associated with the legal profession. The gathering was attended by prominent media personalities and journalists, including National Press Club Islamabad Acting President Ehtisham ul Haq, Finance Secretary Abid Abbasi, former General Secretary Nayyer Ali, former Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists President Tariq Ali Work, senior journalist and writer from Karachi Dr. Rashid Jamal, and Mudassar Chuhdary, Editor Daily The Destination, Coordinator PPCUK, and Third World Society in Pakistan.
During the dinner, the participants engaged in detailed discussions on the current political situation in Pakistan, the Kashmir issue, the challenges faced by journalists, freedom of the press, and the upcoming general elections.
