Fakhar Zaman has been formally charged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following an incident during a PSL match between his team, the Lahore Qalandars, and the Karachi Kings .
The Incident: The charge stems from an event in the final over of the Karachi Kings’ chase. Umpires intervened after a discussion between Fakhar, captain Shaheen Afridi, and bowler Haris Rauf, during which the ball was passed between players. The umpires deemed the ball’s condition had been altered, awarded five penalty runs to the opposing team, and changed the ball .
Potential Penalty: If found guilty of a first offence, Fakhar could face a ban of one or two PSL matches

The Charge: Fakhar has been charged with a Level 3 offence for violating the code of conduct regarding actions that change the condition of the ball .
His Response: Fakhar has denied the charge at an initial disciplinary hearing. A second hearing is scheduled to take place within 48 hours, after which the match referee will deliver a final verdict .
