Viper Group Marks 30 Years, Aligns Celebrations with AI Week to Promote Pakistani Firms Globally

Karachi: Pakistan’s leading technology company Viper Group celebrated 30 years of successful operations with a special ceremony held in alignment with the government’s nationwide AI Week initiative. Speaking at the event, CEO Khushnood Aftab said the company has been delivering services in hardware, software, and professional training for the past three decades. He announced that Viper Group has recently introduced an AI-powered PC and that all of its software solutions are now integrated with artificial intelligence. The company is also offering specialized AI training programs. He noted that very few organizations in Pakistan are simultaneously working on AI across hardware, software, and training sectors. The ceremony was also addressed by Pakistan Software Export Board CEO Faisal Jadoon, who highlighted that AI Week was observed nationwide to showcase Pakistani companies working in artificial intelligence and introduce them to global markets. He stated that the initiative is being carried out under the patronage of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja. According to him, the government aims to emphasize that AI is not a threat to jobs but a driver of new employment opportunities. Jadoon added that various training programs are being launched to equip young people with modern skills, enabling them to secure better employment and benefit from freelancing opportunities. More than 120 international delegates attended the central ceremony and praised the performance of Pakistani companies. Officials revealed that over 90 events have been organized across the country, with additional international events held in London and other global hubs. The initiative aims to position Pakistan effectively in the rapidly growing global AI market and boost IT exports. Authorities stated that through AI Week, the government and private sector are jointly working to secure a prominent place for Pakistan in the next global wave of artificial intelligence.
