Supreme Court directs PTI founder to provide access to eye specialists
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan heard the case.
The court also directed the PTI founder to facilitate telephone communication with his children Qasim and Suleman.
According to the text of the report, Imran Khan described the medical facilities as unsatisfactory and sought access to eye specialists, which was read out in court.
During the hearing, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan said that the government was ready to provide access to eye specialists.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that the government is in a good mood, the founder of PTI should also get the facility of telephonic communication with his children.
He said in his remarks that the founder of PTI is currently in state custody, all prisoners including him should get equal medical facilities, he will not say that the founder should be given special facilities compared to other prisoners, everyone should be treated equally, the reports of the friend of the court and the jail superintendent are the same.

The Supreme Court, while directing the examination of the eyes of the founder of PTI, remarked that a team of doctors will be formed for the examination, both the steps will be taken before February 16, the issue of health is the most important, intervention is needed on this issue, we want to know the government’s position.
The Attorney General said that it is the responsibility of the state to provide health facilities, if the prisoner is not satisfied, the state should take steps.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that the issue of telephone calls from children is also important, we are trusting the government, reserving the order for hearing in the original case, the trial court has given the order, the appeals are in the High Court.
The Supreme Court praised Barrister Salman Safdar for fulfilling the responsibility of Friend of the Court and said that Barrister Salman Safdar fulfilled the responsibility well, appreciates the role of Friend of the Court, and also appreciates the government for providing the best facilities.
Barrister Salman Safdar said that I received more than 100 calls and messages, including my wife, I said that this is a trust of the court, I cannot tell, I did not even tell my wife.
