Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf: Pakistan’s Most Prolific Batting Partnership
Former Pakistan greats Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf formed one of the most successful batting partnerships in the history of Pakistan cricket. Between 1998 and 2007, the duo dominated international cricket with their consistency, class, and match-winning performances.
Together, Inzamam and Yousuf amassed an incredible 7,095 international runs across Tests and One Day Internationals, making it the highest run-scoring partnership by any Pakistani pair. Their ability to build long innings under pressure played a crucial role in many of Pakistan’s memorable victories during that era.
The pair registered 18 century partnerships and 35 half-century stands, showcasing remarkable understanding and coordination at the crease. With an average partnership of around 48 runs, they provided Pakistan with much-needed stability and firepower in the middle order.
Their partnership is still remembered as a golden chapter in Pakistan cricket, symbolizing reliability, elegance, and dominance against some of the world’s best bowling attacks.
