Inauguration ceremony of the National Immunization Days (NIDs) February 2026 was held on Friday at Police Services Hospital, Peshawar. The campaign was inaugurated by Provincial Minister for Health, Mr. Khaleeq ur Rehman, by administering polio drops to children.
While addressing the ceremony, Mr. Khaleeq ur Rehman shared that during this campaign, over 6.5 million children under the age of five across the province will be vaccinated against the poliovirus, reaffirming the government’s commitment to eradicating the disease.
The ceremony was also attended by the Additional Secretary Health/Coordinator EOC KP, Mr. Shafiullah Khan, Chief Field Office UNICEF (CFO), Mr. Radoslaw Rzehak, Team Lead UNICEF, Mr. Inuwa Yau, Team Lead WHO, Dr. Khalid Abdelrahim, Team Lead NSTOP, Dr. Muhammad Imran, Technical Focal Person, Dr, Haider Ali, General Secretary PPA, Dr. Ather Khalily and other EOC officials.
