Finalization of Forecasting of vaccines and logistics for the Financial Year (FY 2026–27)
The Federal Directorate of Immunization #FDI in collaboration with #UNICEF successfully organized a Provincial Consultation Workshop for Finalization of Vaccine and Logistics Forecasting for FY 2026–27 from 13–15 January 2026 hosted by EPI #punjab at #lahore.


The workshop was graced by the presence of Dr. Musa Khan, Director General, FDI as Chief Guest and brought together senior leadership and technical teams from all Provincial and Area EPI Programs, along with partners UNICEF and WHO, to jointly plan targets, vaccine needs, supply timelines, and funding commitments for the coming financial year.
Dr. Musa Khan, Director General FDI highlighted that accurate targets and strong coordination are the foundation of uninterrupted immunization services. He stressed that timely financial commitments from provinces are critical to ensuring vaccine availability for every child. Also while commending all participants, in the conclusion Dr. Musa said that, this joint planning exercise reflects our shared responsibility to strengthen Pakistan’s immunization system.”
Sessions were led by Technical Facilitators from Government, UNICEF and WHO. Key discussions focused on under-1 targets, vaccine forecasting, supply planning, GAVI co-financing obligations, cold chain equipment supply, and ensuring timely procurement to avoid stock-outs. Provinces also reviewed lessons learned, global vaccine market trends, and endorsed province-wise funding commitments for vaccines and logistics.
Progressive developments were achieved in the areas of finalizing under-1 targets for all provinces and areas, agreeing on vaccine and logistics forecast for FY 2026–27, provincial endorsement of funds and timelines for vaccine procurement and strengthening coordination between federal, provincial, and development partners.
