VC SALU Congratulates Faculty on UNODC Training Completion

In a recent commendation, the Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University (SaLU), Khairpur, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, extended his congratulations to two distinguished faculty members. Prof. Dr. Mujeeb Rehman Abro and Dr. Ali Raza Lashari have successfully concluded an intensive 11-week Faculty Development Training Program focused on Social Entrepreneurship and Peacebuilding, an initiative organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Vice Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk lauded the professors for seizing this prestigious international opportunity, describing their accomplishment as a source of pride for the university. He specifically commended their dedication to academic excellence and capacity building, noting their vital role in advancing peacebuilding and innovative social methodologies within the higher education sector.
Adding to this achievement, it has been confirmed that both academics have been selected for an advanced training program on the same theme. This next phase of training is scheduled to take place in Thailand from January 16 to January 31 and is fully funded by the UNODC.
Expressing his confidence in the broader impact of this endeavor, Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk stated that the expertise and skills acquired from these international programs will prove immensely beneficial for the university community, including both faculty and students. He emphasized that this knowledge will further solidify SaLU’s commitment to fostering peace, driving social development, and enhancing its engagement on the global stage.
