A productive meeting chaired by Mr. Zahid Ali Abbasi, Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, held today to review progress on the Asian Development Bank (ADB)–supported Sindh Outcomes-Based Journey for Human Capital Reform (SOJHRO) Project.
During the meeting, Mr. Naveed Saleh and Mr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh briefed the department, including Mr. Prem Sagar, on the current status and next steps for the implementation of the SOJHRO project.
Mr. Naveed Saleh conveyed appreciation to the Secretary Education and the Government of Sindh for the formal approval of the SOJHRO project by the Honourable Chief Minister Sindh, describing it as a significant milestone in advancing the education reform agenda of the province.
The Secretary, SELD, emphasized the importance of moving expeditiously toward the implementation phase and underscored the need to maintain reform momentum, given the project’s pioneering approach of linking public financing with measurable education outcomes and results.
The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the strategic importance of SOJHRO as an innovative financing and reform initiative for the education sector in Sindh, and the necessity of its timely operationalization in line with approved objectives and frameworks.
