Dr. Musa Khan, Director General, Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI) held a significant virtual meeting today with senior Gavi officials, including Ms. Carrie Gheen, Senior Country Manager and Mr. Craig Beyerinck, Programme Manager for High Impact Countries.
During the meeting, the Gavi delegation provided a comprehensive overview of their ongoing support to Pakistan’s Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) including progress on key investments and future funding priorities.
Dr. Musa Khan appreciated Gavi’s long-standing partnership and acknowledged the significant role it continues to play in strengthening immunization services across the country. He reaffirmed that the Government of Pakistan remains fully committed to ensuring the efficient implementation of all Gavi-supported initiatives with sustained progress.
The discussion concluded with both sides expressing their mutual resolve to further enhance collaboration and accelerate Pakistan’s journey towards high and equitable immunization coverage against 13 vaccine preventable diseases.
